A new peripheral for the PS3 has just been announced at Leipzig. A wireless keypad is similar to Xbox 360’s current chatpad, but it will connect to the controller through the top USB port. The chatpad will also enable “touchpad mode for mouse input.” A picture of the keypad attached to a controller, after the jump.

Former Miss India and not so famous actress Celina Jaitley has stood up for Gay Rights. She participated in their Pride Parade at Girgaum Chowpatty in Mumbai.
Celina tells us, “Gays are God’s own creation like you are God’s own creation. It is not their choice to be a part of this uncommon community. Why shouldn’t […]

We’ve seen these zoom lens add-ons before. Now Brando’s slapped together this 6x “Telescope” for the iPhone 3G — a phone not exactly revered for its image quality. Just snap the unit to the back of the iPhone 3G and get to work. How good is it? About as bad as the $19 worth of optics within. Seriously, 19 bucks and available now. [From: Brando]

It’s a couple of years late, but it looks like this Pokemon-themed DS Lite has finally made the trip over from Japan, as evidenced by this shot apparently snapped at a GameStop store. While there doesn’t seem to be a game included with this particular bundle, you will get a matching carrying case, a 22-minute Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DVD, a Grovyle poster, and a Pokemon t-shirt that we’re guessing anyone buying this will never want to take off. All for the usual price of $129.99.

In case there was any lingering doubt that the Treo Pro (alias Treo 850) was real — and there probably shouldn’t be, considering it got snapped all the way back in May — this round of non-blurry (dare we say artistic?) shots should pretty much seal the deal. The glossy shell, promise of a 320 x 320 display, and a general acknowledgment of circa-2008 industrial design definitely have us feeling just a little less pessimistic about Palm’s prospects right now; if anything, it makes us wish they had some Android kit up their sleeves rather than slaving away on the thus-far vaporware Palm OS 2. As WinMo goodies go, though, this thing looks like it’s ready to hang with the best of the best — so bring it on, Palm. A legion of fans with well-worn 750s awaits you. In the meanwhile, check another shot after the break.

Dwight SchruteIn an effort to promote his new movie The Rocker, Rainn Wilson has “kidnapped” his co-star of The Office Jenna Fischer. On a post on Jenna’s MySpace page, Wilson promises that she will be released if his movie grosses 18.7 million dollars (presumably the cost of making it).

There’s even a website up detailing the progress of the kidnapping: FreeJennaNow.com. The first question I have is: what happens to Jenna if the movie doesn’t reach the $18.7 million goal? That answer is left intentionally vague. My guess is he’ll let her go anyway.

I’m glad Jenna is being a good sport about all this (watch the videos to see how Jenna is playing along), otherwise I would find any sort of image involving tying up a woman and leaving her in a vehicle somewhat disturbing. I guess he needed to “kidnap” someone America cares about in order for this Dwight-like scheme to work (and a co-worker who would go along with this silly promotion in the first place). Of course, for better publicity,he could have kidnapped Michael Scott. I think more people would have noticed if Steve Carell was missing.

Everyone’s bitching about how the little girl in the red was lip synching in the Olympics opening ceremony.  And how the little girl in the right was the actual voice.

This must be the end of the world if China decided to portray a more loveable child. Boo hoo. Anyone heard of Bollywood? Look guys…if you’re going to bitch about China lying you’re a bunch of hypocrites. The US would do the same shit, and even make the child get some botox.

“The main consideration was the national interest. The child on the screen should be flawless in image, in her internal feelings, and in her expression” said a Chinese official.  Sure that could be a little f***ed up but then again aren’t WE ALL SUPERFICIAL? Yes.  We are.  So stop bitching.

Nevertheless, China still had the best opening ceremony to the Olympics, lip synching or not.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson denies she is Woody Allen’s muse.

The “The Other Boleyn Girl” actress has played down recent claims she inspires the “Manhattan” director to make films after appearing in three of his most recent releases.

She said: “I’m not his muse. Every single junket that we’ve done so far, we always get the muse thing and we always say, ‘no,’ it’s not that way.”

“Woody and I both appreciate how wonderful it is to work with your friends, and it’s fun and we always have a great time when we do it, we entertain each other, we understand each other and we poke each other.”

The 23-year-old beauty stars in Allen’s upcoming “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” after previously featuring in 2005’s “Match Point” and “Scoop” in 2006.

Woody recently said he was “totally captivated” by Scarlett when he first met her, but feared she was not old enough for the role in “Match Point.”

She said: “She was only 19 years old at the time. But I was in a hole, I had to get somebody quickly, and I knew that Scarlett was a great actress and a beauty.”

“I hired her and became totally captivated by her. I thought she could simply do anything. She was not only beautiful but also bright, amusing, charming, and gifted.”

Yin Yang Camera

A rather novel looking concept camera phone has cropped in on the shape of the yin and yang symbol. The camera will be able to be separated into 2 parts, the yin and the yang, which can be the camera and storage device respectively. By unplugging the storage module from the camera, it should be a really easy procedure to just plug it into a computer and start copying the pictures that were taken. Of course, currently this camera is still at a concept stage, so don’t expect to see it at your local camera store.

As he prepares to accept the Democratic presidential nomination, Barack Obama’s allies in organized labor are worried that he is becoming too friendly with Wall Street types such as former Treasury Secretary and current Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE: C) senior executive Robert Rubin.

According to Bloomberg News, a recent presentation by Richard Trumka of the AFL-CIO argued that unfettered global traded and inadequate government regulation resulted in lost manufacturing jobs. “It will do us little good if, when the next Democrat moves into the White House, Wall Street takes command of our country’s economic policy,” Bloomberg quotes Trumka’s presentation as saying. The story adds that there is no doubt that Trumka is taking a shot at Rubin.

Trumka is unapologetic. The AFL-CIO already is flexing its political muscle and began looking at candidates for cabinet posts including the Treasury and Energy Departments along with the Federal Reserve. Obama’s advisors deny that Rubin or anyone else has any particular sway over his economic policies. But there definitely is a tilt toward the center going on.

Obama, who backs union goals such as reopening NAFTA and universal health care, recently raised a few eyebrows when he seemed to accept the notion that he can’t pay for these programs only through the capital gains tax. Last week, two Obama advisers wrote in the Wall Street Journal that the Illinois senator would only consider raising capital gains taxes from 15% to 20% instead of as high as 28%. That’s no cause for celebration for investors, but the prospect of an Obama presidency is no reason to panic, either.

This weekend, the New York Times chronicled the battle between Obama and John McCain for the hearts and minds of businesses both large and small. Corporate types are not enthusiastic backers of McCain but are backing him since their favored candidate Mitt Romney got out of the race. Obama, though, does have his share of backers in the corporate world including Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) Chief Executive Eric Schmidt. Warren Buffett has also advised him.

Organized labor knows that Obama needs their support. They are going to hold the Illinois senator’s feet to the fire to make sure that he doesn’t forget them even as he tries to make new friends at the boardroom level. It will be a tricky balance to maintain through the general election.
