You might remember Hulu, the video streaming service backed by most of the major networks, being touted as the legitimate answer to watching episodes of your favorite shows (in 6 pieces) on YouTube. Now in some sort of delicious, cosmic irony, Hulu has dragged the networks back to YouTube where it has created its own channel and is hosting clips from shows from Fox and NBC that can be seen in full on Hulu.
Right now, we only saw about 70 videos of clips from shows like ‘30 Rock,’ ‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘Moment of Truth‘ and ‘Family Guy.’ We’re still waiting for more, but it’s a start in getting NBC clips, at least, back on our favorite online destinations . Next stop for NBC’s return? iTunes, we hope. [Source: NewTeeVee]

About a year ago, one morbidly obese (er, a tiny bit chubby) man began a quest to find out what happens when you stop being polite and try to exercise via Wii Sports (see above). Apparently after losing 9 pounds, dropping two points from his BMI, and 3-inches from his waist, he’s ready to go again, this time with the Wii Fit. Sure, it sounds like a second-rate ‘Super Size Me‘ publicity stunt — and it probably is — but who doesn’t want to see just how lean the Wii’s newest accessory can get you? Now, the tubby 191 pound man will run himself through a rigorous Wii Fit program for five shocking weeks. The stunt has already scored him an early Fit from Nintendo, so there’s no telling where this could go. We expect to see an Adonis or skeleton when it’s all over, pal — either will do. We were lucky to get a couple of days to play around with the sexy, new Lenovo U110 ultraportable laptop. It’s only 2.3 pounds and, as you can see, small enough to fit into the teeniest of backpacks. It’s also one of the slickest looking notebooks we’ve ever laid our eyes or hands on, with oversized keys that make typing surprisingly smooth (for such a small laptop).
Handling-wise, it’s not fair for us to say, since we had access only to a pre-production unit, but with up to 3-gigabytes (GB) of RAM available, the U110 has the potential to be the little computer than could….

We’d recommend taking this one with a healthy dose of salt, but word on the street has it that Tony Hawk — being the unashamed Sidekick lover that he is — is gearing up to receive his very own limited edition LX. Oh, and his adoring fans can snap one up too if they’re quick. Details about the unit itself are scant, but it will obviously be Tony Hawk-branded and able to do a 900 on command. We are hearing, however, that it’s slated to land on July 16th — just in time for the T-Mobile sponsored Boom Boom HuckJam, too. [Source TmoNews via Hiptop3, image courtesy of AOL]

Metronomes are meant for budding musicians to keep the beat while playing a tune, and the BodyBeat Metronome is certainly out of the ordinary as it is an electronic version that clips onto your fingertip, letting you feel the beat of the music instead of listening to it. Dubbed the Peterson BB-1 BodyBeat, it sends tiny pulses down the wire to your fingertip, providing you with a silent way of learning how to concentrate whenever you play a tune on your keyboard or piano. Sure as heck beats the irritating tick-tock tick-tock of a regular metronome. The Peterson BB-1 BodyBeat retails for a shade less than a Benjamin.

We can’t say we’re too terribly fond of purchasing movies on a proprietary set-top-box (à la VUDU), but for those with no real attachment to physical media, Apple’s looking to hook you up. Aside from announcing that day-and-date DVD releases were coming to iTunes, Cupertino has also enabled its Apple TV to purchase full-length films; prior to today, users could only rent them for a window of time. Details are pretty scant at the moment, and we’re not even sure if HD films can be purchased (or if a premium is added on), but feel free to fire up your box and let us know how it goes in comments below. Now this might have come many years too late, with Goldeneye being the James Bond film that features Pierce Brosnan. Still, I believe classics never go out of style, hence the Goldstriker Goldeneye edition of the iPhone. You will get 24-carat gold on its front bezel and rear logo, but what makes this stand out from the rest is the bespoke coloring of the full rear including the bottom section antenna piece. Just like the Solar Star edition that featured paint used on an actual Lamborghini Gallardo, the Goldeneye Edition boasts a metallic winter gold finish of the 2008 Jaguar XK model. I suppose if you could afford the car, surely a £749.95 asking price for this iPhone is not too much to ask?
Check out other Goldstriker stories here.

Google likes to map things. Big things. Like the earth. And the sky.
It’s completely logical then that it would want to map the ocean, which is also quite large. Which brings us to Google Ocean, the probable name for Google’s hypothetical nautical juggernaut.
Google is collaborating with a myriad of oceanography experts to plan the eventual creation of a 3-D oceanographic map that would provide a view of the deep blue sea unlike any other. Though similar in many ways to typical topographical maps, Google’s would incorporate much more data, from specific shipwreck sites to zooming and panning tools that would allow people to navigate formerly unexplored areas of the ocean. Grids and information from various oceanographic institutes would also be included, lending even more scientific and academic clout.
As with any technology as expansive as this, there are issues that affect both security and privacy. However, the potential benefits that may come from such an ambitious project leave us, quite honestly, drooling. [Source: Cnet]
