Joe Simpson has been contacting magazines to try to get $1 million for his daughter’s photo on a cover.

According to a source: “The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it.”

However, there’s not a lot of interest for the pics.  One magazine editor said they would get “$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album [’Bittersweet World’] is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee’s lucky she got pregnant, frankly.”

Cameron Diaz

Recently returned to Los Angeles following a visit to New York City and Ashton Kutcher’s SNL afterparty, actress Cameron Diaz now finds herself mourning the sudden death of her father.

Emilio Diaz, who lived in Seal Beach, California, had recently developed the flu which ended up turning into pneumonia. The 58-year-old is said to have suddenly passed away on Tuesday morning (April 15).

Sources have since revealed that production on Diaz’s latest movie “My Sister’s Keeper” was shut down to give her time to grieve and take care of family matters.

Emilio was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company - also having a small role as “Jailbird” in Cameron’s hit movie “There’s Something About Mary”.

Martha and dogTelevision icon Martha Stewart has suffered a family tragedy when her dog Paw Paw passed away from renal failure. He was almost 13 dog years old.

The dog’s full name was “Kublai Khan Paw Paw Chow Chow”. He was a 60 pound chow and had appeared on Martha’s television programs a few times.

I admit I am neither a fan of dogs nor a fan of Martha but I find any death of a beloved pet to be tragic. All this being said, the conspiracy theorist in me wonders if we’re being told the entire truth of the situation. I have a few alternate theories on Paw Paw’s death:

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s pal Samantha Ronson has “practically moved in” with the troubled star at her Los Angeles pad in a bid to make sure she stays away from drugs.

“Sam still has her own place,” a source told the New York Post, “but she spends every night at Lindsay’s” to make sure she stays away from drink, drugs and trouble.

Ronson — whose mom is writer Ann Dexter-Jones and dad is band manager Laurence Ronson — started getting close to the Mean Girls actress in 2004. And when Lindsay, 21, was in rehab last year, they kept in constant contact via their MySpace pages.

“Your [sic] all I have to live for babe,” Lohan wrote at the time. “I want to marry you and have children with you. I need you to live!”

Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpsons boyfriend Pete Wentz has denied the reports that are being published that Ashlee Simpson was pregnant with their first child.

The rocker said that the reports were but the craze of the present season of Hollywood stars becoming mothers. The same was confirmed by the actress singers representative who said that “beyond that, there is nothing to add.”

The rumour was intially published by OK Magazine.

Here’s a clip from Kristen Bell’s new movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall.  Looks pretty entertaining.

Here’s Avril Lavigne’s husband, Deryck Whibley, feeling her up in a park.  Dude, is there anything to really feel up there?  She’s built like a 12-year-old boy.

Combining the words Allison Janney with indie comedy is usually music to my ears. In the last few years alone, she’s rocked roles like Allie Stiffle in Chumscrubber and Bren MacGuff in Juno. Now The Hollywood Reporter posts that she’s signing on for two bigger-budget roles — one that will have her working with Sam Mendes, and the other that will have her directed by Brian Robbins. Well, at least one should be completely excellent.

For Mendes, she’s taking a role in his upcoming comedy, which is currently and tentatively titled This Must Be the Place. Janney will play “a loud, brassy, decidedly un-PC woman who admittedly has a few screws loose.” (Could Mendes have cast that any better?) “She reunites with a former employee in Phoenix, where the expectant mother/employer (Maya Rudolph) begins a tour of the country with her husband (John Krasinski) to find the best place to raise their child.”

Britney Spears

Britney Spears is threatening to release her video diaries, which chronicle her problems over the past six months.

The Toxic star is reportedly planning to release them online — or on MTV.

Britney, who was involved in a minor traffic accident at the weekend, gives a horrifying insight into her state of mind in the intimate recordings.

As well as rants about her mom, dad, sister Jamie Lynn, and friends, the singer, 26, reveals intimate information about her ex, Justin Timberlake, and her rivalry with Christina Aguilera.

“Britney’s video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite,” a source said. “Her high-profile friends and exes - including Justin - knew what she was up to but assumed she was filming herself as a form of therapy. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it’ll be explosive.

“Although some of it is really sad to watch - especially the parts where she’s close to breakdown - others are dynamite. Not surprisingly both JT and Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up all over the net.

“Or, even worse, Britney will agree to another MTV documentary, and release some of the footage through official channels.”
