Britney Spears’ request for a gag order has been turned down in the child-custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The judge rejected the request after Spears’ attorney argued that media coverage was “emotionally and physically” dangerous to Spears.

Federline’s attorney noted that the paparazzi swarms existed before Spears filed for divorce in November 2006.
