There were rumors recently about Katrina’s break up with Salman. But the beaiful and once upon a time naïve actress laughs at these rumors. The lady s real smart she gave really smart answers to every question that was put across to her by a reporter.
Check out for your self!!!!!!!!!!!! While answering a question […]

Clapperboard alarm clock

One might think that this is only for movie freaks, but I think that the thin shape (185×225×26mm) and the fact that it doesn’t look like an alarm-clock makes it an interesting… alarm clock. When the alarm rings, you’ll have to clap it to stop the buzz… ouch, I’m not sure that this is actually cool at 7am. And of course, the product photo doesn’t show the cord (but our photo gallery does). $35 from Chinavision

Nokia Digital Pen with Bluetooth

Years after Logitech made them popular, digital pens are back with a vengeance. After the Fly Fusion Pen, Nokia is preparing to launch its Nokia SU-27W. This codename sounds like a Russian fighter plane but it is a Bluetooth pen that can function for 3 hours before running out of battery. The tiny 1.3MB of on-board memory should be enough to store about 100 A5 pages (of normal text), according to Nokia.

As with many of these pens, a special paper is required so that the tiny internal camera can find markers to know where the tip of the pen is. It launches on December 20th and should cost $240.

From Nokia Japan, more digital pen stories.

Mio C620 GPS features 3D graphics

The stand-alone GPS market is getting incredibly competitive and Mio isn’t resting on their freshly acquired laurels. The Mio C620 will feature limited 3G graphics to display terrain elevation and landmarks, thanks to the new MioMap 2008 software. I can only speculate, but I sense that more buildings will be added… once Mio gets them modeled (it’s a ton of work). Points of interest will show up as “sprites” in the 3D environment.

The overall look of the software is new, and we can only hope that there is a better map upgrade mechanism, this time. Mio website

PS3 update 2.1 and PSP update 3.8 are live

The PSP update 3.8 that we talked about recently is now live. With this update, Internet radio, a TV guide and TV recording become possible (TV functionality requires 1Seg TV Tuner)

Also, the PS3 update 2.1 is also available. It adds DivX and WMV compatibility to the PS3. That’s not it: this update will also bump the Blu-Ray profile to 1.1.

The first poster for Speed Racer has arrived online (courtesy of JoBlo) — a film that’s sure to give you an “interesting” experience at the theater when it arrives on May 9. The trailer, which first hit Moviefone recently, has caused all sorts of commotion from people who either love the trippy live-action look to people who hate the fact that it looks like a high-priced video game. This particular poster, according to recent photos over at FirstShowing, appears to be lenticular for the in-theater versions. That means the image changes based on the way you look at it. So next time you visit the theater, expect a bunch of stoners to be standing in front of the Speed Racer poster like a pack of hypnotized Chim-Chims.

Directed by the Wachowski Brothers (or siblings), Speed Racer is based on the popular ’60s cartoon. It stars Emile Hirsch as an up-and-coming race car driver who enters into a dangerous race in order to help thwart an evil company’s plans to destroy his car and his family’s business. The film co-stars Christina Ricci, John Goodman, Susan Sarandon and Matthew Fox. You can check out the trailer over on Moviefone, or visit the film’s official site for more info.

Last month, we got a serving of James Marsters and Justin Chatwin for James Wong’s upcoming Dragon Ball movie. Marsters signed on to play the villain Piccolo, while Chatwin nabbed the starring role of Goku. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, they will be teamed by a few women and another bad guy. First up is Emmy Rossum, Jake Gyllenhaal’s love interest in The Day After Tomorrow. Aggravatingly, there’s no word on who she’ll play. However, there is some info on the other two additions. Eriko Tamura, who recently stole Hiro’s heart on Heroes and made for quite the rift between the time traveler and Kensei, has signed on to play Mai, while Joon Park, who used to be a member of the Korean pop group G.O.D., has signed on to play Yamcha.*

So two more, at least, have joined the bad side — unless Yamcha will show up as his reformed self. He is a thief who reforms and becomes a Z Fighter, while Mai is one of Emperor Pilaf’s two minions. I imagine that means Pilaf will be cast soon, so that Piccolo has a someone to free him from his confinement in an electric rice cooker. Now, I love strange, zany stuff, and Dragon Ball is full of it, but can they really pull this off in any way that’ll be amusing — either in a serious or tacky way? I’m getting Super Mario flashbacks, and even that source material wasn’t this wacky.

Also, HoyCinema has posted the pictures from the film’s production, which don’t show too much, but should give you an idea about the film’s look.

*Unfortunately, Heroes fans, this means no chance for Hiro’s lady to meet his best friend. According to earlier rumors, Ando (James Kyson Lee) was going to play Yamcha.

Though the film has gone through a bunch of titles (Tonight, He Comes, John Hancock), they’ve finally settled on Hancock, and the first trailer for the film has arrived online (courtesy of JoBlo). In Hancock, Will Smith plays a superhero named Hancock who’s fallen on hard times, and when he hires a PR exec (Jason Bateman) to correct his image, Hancock winds up falling for the dude’s wife (Charlize Theron). What are we getting here? Well, the first trailer shows us tons of special effects and a lot of comedy mixed together — all of it to the tune of hip hop. Funny thing is, the film isn’t even listed as a comedy — IMDb has it as a action drama/fantasy — though they’re clearly going for laughs in this first bit of marketing material.

And you know what, those laughs are actually pretty funny. Like the part when Hancock looks at the YouTube clip of himself saving a beached whale. Only, when he throws the whale back out to sea, it lands on a lone sailboat way out in the ocean. “I don’t even remember that ,” he says. Bateman replies, “Green Peace does.” There’s a bunch of stuff like that here; apparently they’re setting up the fact that Hancock (who looks like a homeless guy) keeps trying to save the day, though he causes a ton of destruction in the process. It’s like the anti-superhero movie, and it definitely looks like it belongs in the summer popcorn fluff category. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Directed by Peter Berg, Hancock arrives in theaters on July 2, 2008.

A massive wrap party took place on Saturday night for Baz Luhrmann’s romantic war epic Australia, which began its long filming schedule back in April and will finally wrap this coming Friday. The film tells the story of Lady Sarah Ashley’s (Nicole Kidman) journey from England to the Australian outback to visit her husband’s ranch, Faraway Downs. Once there, she meets a rough cattle driver played by Hugh Jackman and an ensuing love triangle situation ultimately culminates with the Japanese bombing of Darwin during the war. (I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that someone dies.) The film shoot is coming in around a month over schedule and also reportedly well over budget, The Herald Sun reports. There are also apparently still some interiors that will be shot during the coming year, but Jackman and Kidman both have new commitments that they must attend to first, he Wolverine and she that movie with Ralph Fiennes.

Also, several outlets are reporting that Luhrmann is courting Elton John to contribute to the movie’s soundtrack. John is known to have visited the Australia set last week to watch some filming and while there, he was taken to a screening room to see an early assemblage of footage. When asked for comment, he reportedly declared that the film could be “like Titanic on dry land.” John’s visit to the set coincided with the filming of some kind of big ballroom sequence and Luhrmann arranged to have the band play one of John’s old songs, as part of this musical seduction dance. Australia is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters in November, 2008.

We’re not certain that your steering wheel is the best or safest place to attach a handsfree device, but those of you looking to up your Michael Knight factor might be interested in Seecode’s new Wheel Bluetooth kit. Featuring a small screen and call-control buttons, the battery-operated unit allows you to chat away on speakerphone, send / end calls, and view your phonebook — all while (hopefully) keeping your eyes on the road. No word on when these might be available, but check the read link for the usual riveting assortment of FCC docs.
