New maps that will be released include OK Corral that features catwalks, alley ways and hiding spots to hold long, draw-0out sniper battles, Jodrell Bank, Vandelay, and Purple Reign. No word on pricing details as at press time, so keep that credit card nearby just in case.

Jim Cramer on BloggingStocks TheStreet.com’s Jim Cramer says these stocks will ramp higher into year-end.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) (Cramer’s Take), Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) (Cramer’s Take) and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) (Cramer’s Take) are soon to be over the hump. As we get closer to year-end, we are going to see these stocks ramp as they become the most obvious ways to show that you know what you are doing.

Every few years we get into a situation where the year is in its final months and there are some names that everyone knows, including the trustees of mutual funds and investors in hedge funds.

At this point you can only imagine the questioning:

  • “How come you didn’t buy Google?”
  • What were you thinking when you passed on RIMM? I love my Blackberry.”
  • “Did you think the iPhone wouldn’t be big?”

Plus, you also get into this jolly analyst period where the analysts know they can please their clients by simply raising their price targets to augment their customers’ performance.

It’s called a virtuous circle, and Apple, Google and RIMM are at the heart of it.

Jim Cramer is a director and co-founder of TheStreet.com. He contributes daily market commentary for TheStreet.com’s sites and serves as an adviser to the company’s CEO. At the time of publication, Cramer had no positions in stocks mentioned.

Sony has announced today that they have finally opened the PSN Store in four new worldwide territories. Since the European launch in March people have been complaining that their country has had no access to the online Store, instead having to set up a UK or American account in order to get hold of downloads. Now Poland, Greece, Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic all have access starting today.

The great thing is that these stores will “mirror the other SCEE stores” in terms of content, meaning that there’s a large selection of content to start downloading - including Calling All Cars, Super Stardust HD and Warhawk. Not only that, but the stores open just in time for PSN Update Thursday. We’ll let you know what the update contains, as usual, when we find out.

95-Year-Old Blogger Reminisces for All to SeeMany bloggers like to think of themselves as young and hip and trendy (even though many of them are rapidly approaching middle-age and pre-geezer status).

One blogger, though, isn’t fooling anybody, and isn’t even trying. She proudly flaunts her white hair while regaling visitors with tales of the Spanish Civil War during the late 1930s — which she lived through. That’s right, blogger Amelia Lopez is 95-years-old, and her unique perspective on things has earned her blog approximately 60,000 readers worldwide.

Amelia says that one of her “very stingy” grandsons gave her a blog for her birthday one year. Once she figured out what a blog was, Lopez started posting and, well, the rest is history — which, of course, is one of the main subjects of her blog posts.

Even so, this granny blogger also takes time to do some social criticism, such as musings on today’s men: “Young men were different back then. They brought us flowers, gardenias, violets, chocolates. Not like the foul-mouthed bunch today.”

Lopez may be three-times older than your average blogger, but she’s certainly no less opinionated.

Facebook Gets More AdsWe’ve been covering the evolution of Facebook quite a bit lately, including its new status as the new face of social dissidence, its newly inflated value thanks to a buy-in from Microsoft, and its, erm, libidinous content. Now seems like the perfect time for its creators to start cashing in, and that’s what they’re doing with a new suite of ads destined for your Facebook account.

The ads will come in two flavors. The most annoying will be ones that show up in status updates. The News Feed, a running view of what your friends are up to, is one of Facebook’s most popular features. Usually it’s full of mundane updates and failed attempts at wit, but now it could be full of corporate logos. With this new ad scheme, if any of your friends do anything related to any of the site’s sponsors, some sort of advertisement will pop up along with the update from that friend, making it look like they’re shilling some product like Taco Bell or Toyota. The other type of advertising coming to Facebook is more traditional: static ads that will appear when you’re viewing and editing your profile.

Though advertising can be a real turn-off, the site is still free. Still, it’s somewhat sad to see the beginning of ads on the typically clean and simple Facebook. We can only hope that this isn’t the beginning of the site’s slow slide toward a MySpace-like state of flashing ads.

a plate with toast, fried egg and tomato on it
I’ve always been fascinated by how other people live their food lives. This means that I really enjoy cooking with friends, love peeking at the shopping cart contents of strangers and always wanted to check out what my co-workers brought to eat for lunch. This slightly odd trait of mine is why I’m loving a recent addition to my RSS reader.

Simply Breakfast is a site that gets updated just about every weekday (and occasionally on the weekend as well) and features a single image in each post. Every day the picture is of what Jen is having for breakfast that morning. In concept it sounds sort of boring, but Jen is an artist who seems to carefully compose her meal before she snaps the shot. The result is something that is inspiring, appealing and addictive. She’s got a new book out that gathers a bunch of her breakfast images together and also has an Etsy shop where you can buy prints of her photos.

Harvey WallbangerHere’s the story (supposedly) about this drink made of orange juice, Galliano, and vodka. Harvey was a surfer in the 1950s who lost a surfing competition. He went to a bar to drown his sorrows, and drank several Screwdrivers with Galliano. He got up to leave but kept banging into things. And a drink name was born. That’s one of the legends anyway.

The bar was owned by Duke Antone, and he not only came up with this drink but also The Rusty Nail. Get a Collins glass and fill it with ice. Pour 1 oz. vodka and 4 oz. orange juice into glass and stir, then float 1/2 oz. Galliano on top.

A variation on the drink is the Freddy Fudpucker. Just replace the vodka with tequila!
