Verizon Wireless customers, you may want to sit down for this one. Samsung’s oh-so-sexy SGH-F700, which is currently thrilling quite a few Vodafone customers, could be headed to The Network — and soon. According to Phone Arena, the Verizon variant of the F700 will be dubbed the SCH-U940, but actual details beyond that are scant. We are told that the unit will boast a 440 x 240 resolution touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard and a two-megapixel camera, but beyond that we’re left to wonder. No worries though, as the phone will reportedly be landing “in a few months,” so keep your eyes peeled, cool?

That one creepy guy smiling into the camera creepily? That thing? That’s not the creepiest thing on the internet. I take it back.

Because of this. O sweet heavens, what is this.

I just…I just……I just….It’s like….I think I’m never going to be able to sleep again. I gotta lay off the videos for a while I think.

With the recent hype about the Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) phone, one has to wonder how the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone will be affected, if at all, since Google doesn’t have the same hardware mystic about it Apple does? It is, however, abundantly clear that the iPhone and Apple’s relationship with AT&T (NYSE: T) have affected Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) and the possible deals Google is looking to sign with the representative telco it chooses.

Citigroup Inc (NYSE: C) said it has signed an agreement to acquire all of Nikko Cordial Corp, paying about $4.6 billion for the 32% it does not already own. Citigroup spent about $8 billion to buy 68% of Nikko earlier this year.

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) shares are 2.35% higher in premarket trading after the company yesterday announced it restated earnings resulting in reduced profits by $92 million. This finally takes Dell out of its accounting mess.

As expected, the focus is now on Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) as contract talks between it and the United Auto Workers union broke off in the early hours of Wednesday morning after a marathon session that began Tuesday morning. The negotiations for a new four-year contract were expected to resume later Wednesday.

MasterCard Inc (NYSE: MA) reported rising quarterly earnings rose, helped by the partial sale of an investment in Brazil. MA reported earnings of $1.80 per share, excluding $0.51 from the partial sale of the co’s investment in Redecard S.A. in Brazil. This is far better than Reuters Estimates consensus of $1.42. Revenues rose 20.1% yoy to $1.08 billion, also beating the the $1.03 billion estimates. MA shares are surging over 7% in premarket trading to $168.50.

Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) will also launch OpenSocial Thursday to try and compete with Facebook. OpenSocial is a distribution network for social networking applications.

Following Sirius (NASDAQ: SIRI) results yesterday, S&P maintains its hold position and $3.50 target price on the stock. Also, Glass, Lewis & Co., one of the nation’s leading independent proxy advisory firms, has recommended that XM (NASDAQ: XMSR) and SIRIUS stockholders vote “FOR” the companies’ merger proposals. Both stocks are recovering nicely in premarket action from yesterday’s selloff.

It’s no secret that the Web’s heavy hitters like to show their seasonal spirit with mods of the subtle and not-so-subtle variety to their brand identities. Google’s logo has become especially known for its Google Doodles, and this year’s full-on ghoulish painting logo continue that fine, quirky tradition.

The search giant has even dressed up its significant new addition to the family in some festive holiday threads (though if our TV became a pumpkin we’d be a little upset). BooTube, anyone?

Our last spooky Google shoutout comes via our friends at Geeksugar - we’ve been flying a witch through Google Street View all day! Head over and give it a try - a little rehearsal of the trick or treating route through your neighborhood for the evening can’t hurt!

Google’s not the only one having fun with logo ornamentation, though. In fact, our research indicates that Halloween logo competition may be just as fierce as competition for your search queries. Yahoo, for one, has made their logo the center of an entire bone-rattling animation. We only have a still to show you here, so check out its homepage for the show!

However, we think that Ask has won our haunted hearts by placing its entire homepage in a Jack-O-Lantern lit night. Can you think of a better setting for your last minute costume questions?

Until next year (or Thanksgiving, at least), thanks for indulging our logo lust, and stay safe out there tonight!

Sony Pictures Entertainment, in some sort of unpredictable blitzkrieg, is considering selling about half of its digital animation divisions (responsible for effects in the Spider-Man films and other stuff like Open Season). This action could net Sony upwards $500 million, according to a New York Times report. Investors think these divisions could move well into places like video games or television advertising.

With Sony selling off the Cell to Toshiba recently, it seems they might actually be in a bit of trouble, what with their gaming division posting heavy losses again in the most recent quarter (though the other divisions covered for the loss). Perhaps Sony has something else up their sleeve. Any guesses? We’d buy a Sony toaster, if it had a little plasma HDTV screen on the side.

Midway is a company that has learned its lesson. After dealing with the delay mess that was Stranglehold, not to mention the awkwardly delayed Unreal Tournament 3, CEO David Zucker came out to say that stuff is behind the company and all should go smoothly from now on. He said, “For our first wave of next-gen games… lead development has been on the Xbox 360, due to its earlier introduction and larger installed base. We ran into some technical issues developing for the PlayStation 3 that have taken more time to finalize than we expected … We do believe that these technical issues are now complete at a core level in our engine.” Meaning games will ship the same day as the 360 versions. Hopefully.

The relationship between Sony and Epic Games remains unchanged and Midway is offering its support in keeping those exclusives rolling at a constant rate. “Our expected product plan is to release a PC version of Unreal Tournament 3 this November, and a PS3 version as soon as it’s ready. At this point, we have not announced any timing for an Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3.” Another piece of info was gleaned regarding an “open-world” project for the PS3 that has yet to be announced. What that is, nobody knows. Because it hasn’t been announced.
