Now that Sony are releasing a lot more stuff on the US PSN Store news is coming from all different angles regarding what will be up next. We’ve cobbled together a list of content that we expect to see up on the store today, along with a link to the corresponding source. Until the official list is released, this will have to be enough to get you excited for today’s update.

That’s all we know so far. No doubt the full list will be longer, but we wouldn’t expect any more games or demos. We’re already getting two of each, so we’ve nothing to complain about there. In fact, we should be very hapy about that. If Sony keeps this up then the PSN could actually go from “passable” to “good.” As for the European Store, we’ll probably be getting a video or two and a photo of a half eaten pie.

A weaker-than-expected jobs report along with statements by former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan that the current market turmoil was identical to previous ones has sent the stock market into a tailspin today, pushing down the Dow Jones Industrial Average by more than 200 points.

Merrill Lynch & Co. (NYSE: MER), Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) and Bear Stearns Cos. (NYSE: BSC), which like other financial stocks have been hit hard because of subprime concerns and the ongoing credit crunch. Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) all dropped as well showing how difficult safe havens are to find.

The wild swings in the market will continue for some time as investors continue to fret over whether Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will cut interest rates later this month. So far, Bernanke has sent the market mixed signals, indicating at best that he’s monitoring the situation closely and hinting that he’d like to avoid cutting interest rates if possible.

In fact, Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson told Bloomberg Television that the decline in payrolls wasn’t “totally surprising” and said he was confident that the economy would expand in the second half of the year. That doesn’t sound like someone who feels that a rate cut is needed immediately.

With a lame-duck administration, there is little incentive for officials in Washington to stick out their necks to do much of anything.

Fear, uncertainty and doubt will rule the day for a while more, it seems.

Online Scam Targets Xbox Users

Is there no place safe from hackers? According to Microsoft, scammers have taken their game to the Xbox Live online service. Users on Xbox forums have reported receiving questionable e-mails that were made to look as if they were sent from Microsoft Support. The e-mails attempt to trick people into updating their Xbox Live subscriptions with a credit card through a fake site that’s an exact copy of Microsoft’s Passport secure login page. This practice of tricking people into providing sensitive personal info is known as phishing, and is becoming increasingly common on the Internet — though this is the first case we’ve seen of an online gaming service being used as the trap.

Here’s an example of one of the fake e-mails:

Subject: Changes To Your Xbox Live Account

From: Xbox Support [support@passport.xbox.com]

Email body:

Dear Xbox Live User,

We have made many changes to everyone’s Xbox Live account, and we would like you to check out the new features! You can check out the new features by click on the link below to login and check them out!

Please check out your new features to your Xbox Live account!

https://www.xbox.com/signin/

However, clicking on that link actually took you to a cloned site not run by Microsoft. Users were directed to enter in their Live usernames, passwords, and and also their credit card info. Once they clicked submit the info was in the hands of the phishers and who knows what they may be doing with it. Whatever it is, it won’t be good.

So, add another entry to our list of top 5 e-mail scams, another example that you need to be careful of what you click on.

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

We saw Jessica Biel go darker a few weeks ago for her role in Powder Blue, and this weekend she showed her a polished version of her brunette look while hosting 3rd Annual Pink Party benefiting Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute. Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai did Jessica’s hair for the event, showing off what he tells PEOPLE is a “modern shag. It’s the modern version of Jane Fonda’s haircut from Klute. The color is a rich auburn brown.” And Adir told us how he created Jessica’s low-key look for the event. He applied Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel, $23 at sephora.com, all over the roots before rubbing a dime size amount of Controle Ironless Straightening Balm, $25 at sephora.com, all over her hair to the ends. Using a two inch round brush, he blow-dried all of her hair forward to frame her face with the cut’s heavy layers. To finish the look, he pieced out the ends with Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax to give it extra texture.

Virgin-wide In-Flight Broadband in 2008

Virgin is reportedly partnering with AirCell to provide broadband connection to *all* (yes ALL) its flight next year. Laptops will be able to connect using WiFi in the plane. Ok now I’m excited about flying again.

There’s one unanswered question, though: will there be a fee and if yes, how much? Personally, I’m ready to pay a fair amount to cut down boredom on a long flight. If someone knows, please post a comment. Thanks!
